Updates

Our behavior was MUCH better in the lunchroom today.  Thank you so much for your support!

HW:  SS:  finish Battles of WWII chart

Continue reading 20 minutes each night for "March Madness"

Friday, March 7, 2014

Behavior

Our class, had a very difficult time in the lunchroom today.  The report was that our class was, "Obnoxiously loud and  blatantly disregarded the music."

This is unacceptable.  I really hate it for the few that were not involved.  Please speak to your child about lunchroom behavior.  They missed recess today and had to sit in the room silently.  They will continue to miss recess and eat silent lunch in the classroom if this continues.  If they ever needed recess, it is now, considering our extra thirty minutes.  Please encourage your child to act appropriately.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Grading Update

·       I have posted another "Reading Workshop Participation" grade:  This grade is based on
teacher observation of student’s stamina (ability to stay focused) during IR,
reading log completion (due every Monday)
student's written responses during morning work and independent reading
and “status of the class”(my record of their progress during independent reading)

If your child has a low Reading WS Participation grade, please ask them to explain to you in which areas they are not doing well.
