In a previous post I put the incorrect date for the SS projects.  I am so sorry!

Timeline projects are due Tuesday, October 7,  Chapter 2 test is Wednesday, October 8.  I apologize for any confusion!

ELA Group 1:  Preview Thursday, 9/18 and purchase Wednesday, 9/24

ELA Group 2:  Preview Monday, 9/22 and purchase Wednesday, 9/24

Students can purchase alone any day after they have previewed.  The book fair will also be open during conferences.

Don't forget, teachers have wish list bags of books if you would like to donate a book to our classroom collection.

We discussed the events of 9/11 today.  We watched a brain pop on 9/11 and another on terrorism.  We also watched the video linked above.  Please take some time to discuss this with your child.  They have so many questions and so much to say.  Tell them where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news.

Welcome to Social Studies, Mrs. Morand's class!  We are going to have a great time learning the story of the United States!  We are beginning with the causes of the Civil War.  We discussed slavery.  They have so many questions!  This might be a good topic of discussion tonight!
