New Research Project!  We began a new research/informational paper today in ELA.  Students have a graphic organizer where they will be gathering information on various writers they have learned about during SS.  Tomorrow we will be going to the computer lab to do more research.  Students may do more research at home after tomorrow, but we will be writing these papers here at school.  Please do not attempt to write these papers at home.  We will be working through the process together. Papers are due February 6.

Video from today's SS lesson on WWI.  Enjoy!

Updates

It was so good to see everyone back today, smiling and healthy!

Homework:

Reading Passage: "The Female Moses".  Please answer carefully by restating the questions, answering. and citing evidence.

New Year Activity:  We watched a great video this morning from Good Morning America on a national initiative called "Your 3 Words."  Each child should be thinking of three words as their mantra for the new year. Think about what inspires you, what motivates you, something you would like to accomplish, a dream you have, something very important to you, etc.  Nothing silly, please! For example, please do not make your three words, "I like pie!"  (I know you wanted to!)

Tomorrow each child needs to be ready with their three words to make their sign.  We will take pictures of each child with their sign.
