Help Locate My Missing Books!
Please check your home, car, under the beds, etc. for any of my personal books. You will see my name on them on the front or a white sticker with my name on it. Every year I lose an awful lot of books, and it gets expensive over time. I appreciate anything you can do to find our lost books. Even if you find them over the summer, please drop them by the school whenever you can!

Wednesday's Details
Just a reminder that the Awards Ceremony starts at 9:30 on Wednesday. Please make sure students wear their best dress for the occasion, but bring a change of clothes for afterwards. After the Awards Ceremony we will all come back to our class rooms briefly for hugs, pictures, etc. The 5th Grade Final Walk will start shortly after that. The parents and all K-4 students will line the halls and cheer as the 5th graders make their final walk through the hallways of Burnette. After that the students will change into their regular school clothes. The blue 5th grade t-shirt is a great choice for the afternoon. The Finale (outdoor games, etc.) will take place after the students eat lunch.
A note about Thursday: The county is asking that all students bring their EMPTY book bag to school on Thursday. Normally they do not allow students to have anything except their report card on the last day, but they now want to be able to see each yellow bus tag.

Friday Folders are jam packed! Please go through them carefully. There is a Stone Mountain ticket in each folder, too. It's tiny, so don't lose it! Friday Folders DO NOT need to be returned to school.

Field Trip Info
Parents,
Looks like the rain is going to hold off for tomorrow!!! There is only a 20% chance of rain now and it will be cloudy with a high of 80....a nice day!
Just a reminder from the letter emailed out yesterday, you must be here to pick up your child no later than 4:15. If someone else other than you is picking up your child, please send a letter in to school tomorrow stating so.
You will be picking your child up from the back of the school. Please do not get into the car rider line until after 3:45, so that all the regular car riders can leave Burnette easily. The buses will drop off the 5th graders at the front and we will all walk back through the school to you. We will dismiss the kids to you just as we do regular car riders, several cars at a time.
Some other reminders about tomorrow: wear blue 5th grade T-shirt & comfy shoes (lots of walking), send/apply sunscreen for your child, send a water bottle with your child and a bag to put the water bottle and sunscreen in. DO NOT SEND MONEY, THERE WILL NOT BE SHOPPING. Students are allowed to bring cameras with them to take pictures, but no phones are allowed. Students will need to bring a towel with them if they plan on going to the Geyser Tower and getting wet.
Chaperones, please do not buy anything for your group. It always causes tears when one group gets treats and one doesn't. We appreciate your understanding.

Visit to Hull Middle School
Monday morning is our visit to Hull MS. Please be here on time! Wear your blue 5th grade tshirt and be ready to be on your best behavior! This is always a great visit, and the students come back feeling so ready for middle school!
Pizza Reward
Students have worked so hard this year! I will be rewarding their hard work and effort with a special lunch of pizza and sprite. Our pizza reward will be Monday, 5/11 right after our Social Studies post test.
